"Mask" Collaborative Project

This sculpture is a collaborative piece made by 7 sculptors: Elizabeth Allison, John Balsamo, Allston Chapman, Akihiro Ito, Selva Senjines, Matte White and Noa Shay as part of 'M2M - Model to Monument' program of creating Art for Public Spaces.. The project, led by sculptor Greg Wyatt, is a partnership between the Art Students League of NY and the NYC Parks and Recreation Department. One of this site's usages is live performances and theatrical plays and therefore a mask sculpture was chosen to be this year's collaborative project. Installation was completed in June 2011. The scuplture was on display for 11 months....
